Is Trading Worth It After the Latest Patch?
I used to enjoy trading a lot, but after the recent updates, I’m not sure if it’s still profitable. I keep hearing mixed opinions. Some players tell me trading is better than ever, while others say the risks aren’t worth it because of server issues and NPC bugs. I’m thinking about buying a cargo ship soon, but I don’t want to waste my money if trading is unstable right now. Does anyone have real experience with hauling in 4.4? Is it actually consistent, or is everyone just getting lucky with routes? I’d like some honest feedback.

Trading is decent now, but only if you already have money to start with. Getting that first batch of capital is the hardest part. A lot of players speed up the whole process by buying star citizen credits so they can purchase a proper cargo ship right away. Since aUEC is used for testing and often gets reset, players prefer skipping the slow grind and jumping straight into hauling. The delivery is fast, and you only need your RSI handle for the transfer. With enough aUEC, you can buy a ship like the Caterpillar or C2 and run profitable trade routes without waiting. It helps you get into the trading loop much sooner.
