What community-driven events or collaborations could make Small Business Saturday more meaningful?

Hey everyone, I was thinking about Small Business Saturday coming up. Last year, I tried organizing a little coffee crawl with a few local cafés, but barely anyone showed up. I want to make it feel more connected to the community this time—like something fun and meaningful that actually brings people together. Does anyone have ideas for events or collaborations that could really get the neighborhood involved?

I totally get what you mean!  I found a helpful guide online about community events around small business saturday that might inspire some ideas, check out this small business saturday for more examples. A few years ago, my town did a “local art and shop hop,” where small shops hosted mini art exhibits or live music. It drew a surprising crowd and gave people a reason to explore multiple businesses at once. You could even coordinate with nearby restaurants or bakeries to create small tasting events.
