hoosing the right color palette for a small living room renovation
I’ve been trying to freshen up my small living room, but I can’t seem to decide on the right color palette. I recently painted one wall a soft gray, thinking it would make the room feel more spacious, but now it feels kind of dull. A friend told me to try something warmer like a pale terracotta, but I’m not sure it would match my dark furniture. Has anyone else dealt with this? I’d love to hear what colors made your space feel cozy but not cramped.

totally relate to this! I’ve been redoing my living room too, and picking colors is way harder than I expected. I wanted something calm but still warm, so I tried beige with olive green accents — it made the space feel cozy without being dark.
The only issue I didn’t expect was my dog suddenly getting obsessed with the new setup and scratching near the balcony door all the time 😅. I’m guessing he hears or smells things from outside. Has anyone found a way to stop dogs from digging or barking at the patio without using harsh methods?
